I think that there are many African American Art Collectors who do not appreciate or value the work of many artists, particularly abstract artists. Before, one begins to collect; one must learn the history of art. Despite this personal belief, I have had the pl… Continue

I am attempting to tap into good art show listings and I was wondering if you knew of any. Also, as far as collectors are concerned, is this site pretty good for connecting collectors with art?

Thank you for the comment and welcome, I appreciate it. I guess said amateur/hobbyist because I've never sold anything outside of graphic design and some artwork for a family member's book.

Hello Afrika,
This is peak (art) festival season in Florida so I've been on the road quite a bit lately. I thougt this network would almost run itself....especially with so many creative members. ....guess we need more direction huh? Nevertheless, business is great and getting better.
My next project is a summer youth art program. We have two community projects planned. A mural and a mosaic where the kids will get paid for their contributions. That newsletter sounds like a good idea, however, I may have to delegate that to you. What about you? Anything exciting happinin? Here's my latest painting....enjoy! Talk to you later.
